OKWU Plays For NAIA National Title

For the first time in the program's history, Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles baseball team will play for the NAIA World Series title thanks to another extra inning comeback game.  OKWU  won 4-3 in 11 innings over Oklahoma Baptist University.  The Eagles scored the go ahead run in the top of the 11th on an RBI double by Will Price that brought home John Davenport.  Sam Haynes, who came in relief of starter Diego Ibarra, picked up the win on the mound.  Haynes pitched the final three innings of the game and didn't give up a run or a hit.  Cody Riley and Garrett Easton each got two hits.  Jose Ruiz hit a home run and had two RBI's.  Jeff Butler, Will Price, Trae Bobo, Brice McCulloch, and Asa Manship each got a hit. 

The Eagles are 58-7 overall and will play Lewis and Clark State Thursday night at 8:30 Oklahoma time. . The winner will face Cumberland, Tennessee Friday night for the title.
