KWON is committed to bringing area listeners the most accurate and complete news possible. For national and international information, we rely on the services of CBS Radio Network. For state news, it’s the Oklahoma News Network & Radio Oklahoma Network. For agricultural reports, we affiliate with ONN’s Agri-Net and Radio Oklahoma Network's Ron Hayes. The Wall Street Journal and local stock brokers keep us up on current financial prices. KWON and Bartlesville Radio have three full time news reporters to keep the area updated on local and regional news information.
With award-winning weather coverage, KWON suspends regular programming when severe weather hits. The Washington County Emergency Management weather spotter team goes into action headquartered out of our studios. Staff spotters, radar coverage and constant information is aired until the weather clears. KWON received the Outstanding Radio Spot Weather Award from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters several times in the last 10 years.
KWON is your season ticket for sports, under the direction of Sports Director, David Crawford, and Assistant Sports Director, Adam Hooper. You’ll hear Bartlesville Bruins, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Indians baseball, St. Louis Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys.
