OKWU Plays Another Day
It was a record setting day for OKWU's Jeff Butler as he got a walk off single in the bottom of the 12th inning as the Eagles came from behind with a 10-9 win over Tabor College Wednesday evening at the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. Butler at the plate went 6 for 7 with 5 RBI's. He brought home Gunner Joyce for the winning run in the bottom of the 12th to secure the victory. Butler set a NAIA record with most singles in a game and tied a NAIA record for total hits in a game. Rhett Acker picked up the win on the mound. In over four innings of work, Acker gave up two hits and struck out three Tabor players. At the plate, Avery Flores, Will Price, Garrett Easton, and Brice McColloch each got two hits. The Eagles out hit the Bluejays 16-11.
The Eagles are 57-7 overall this season and will be in action Wednesday afternoon against Oklahoma Baptist University at 5 o'clock Oklahoma time.
