Indians Sweep Muskogee
The Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians were in action at Muskogee Wednesday night and swept the Roughers 14-1 and 15-6. In the first game, Wes Shaffer hit a three-run homerun in the top of the first inning to seal the deal for the Indians. Logan McNeil made his first start on the mound and got the win. In four innings of work, McNeil gave up a run on six hits, and struck out two. Ryan Behar went 3 for 5 while Tyler Yardley went 2 for 3 with two doubles. Will McDaniel went 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI while Logan McNeil went 2 for 3 with a double. Skyler Frizzell got a triple, his first of the year.
In the second game, the Indians led 8-1 going into the bottom of the third when the Roughers scored five runs to cut the lead 8-6. Bartlesville bounced back scoring six runs in the fourth and never looked back. Brady Sewell made his first start on the mound and got the victory. In over two innings of work, Sewell gave up six runs on four hits, walked six, and struck out three. Wes Shaffer and Ryan Behar each got two hits. Will McDaniel went 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI's while Jacob Ruiz hit a triple.
The Indians are 6-2 overall and will next be in action on Thursday, June 12th as they will take on Ozark, Missouri in the first game of the Kickapoo Tournament at Springfield, Missouri.
