Back-to-back-to-back-to-back is something worth celebrating.

Bartlesville High continues to lionize the Lady Bruins fourth straight state championship. The Bartlesville girls swamped the competition on Saturday in Edmond to run away with the title. Meanwhile the Bruin boys took third place.

Overall, the day couldn’t have gone much better. It also showed some good signs for the future, with Lady Bruin Erin Downey, and others, swimming well, here is Bartlesville head swim coach Chad Englehart.

With the Bartlesville girls graduating five stellar seniors, the program will look to underclassmen like Downey and others to pick up the slack. Englehart says he hopes he has created a program that is reloading and not rebuilding from year to year.

In addition to taking third at state, the Bruin boys also won the 6A Academic State Championship over the weekend.

Full Story on the Lady Bruin state champions.

Congrats to BHS swimming on a fantastic 2018.
