For the fourth season in a row, the Lady Bruins are state champions in Class 6A swimming.

Bartlesville pounded the field on Friday and Saturday in Edmond to run away with the championship. BHS scored 465.5 points, more than 200 better than second place Edmond Memorial. The Lady Bruins won eight events, and finished in the top three of 11 different events.

Bartlesville topped state records in the 200 yd. freestyle, and 400 yd. freestyle relays. BHS also got individual state records from Kate Seward in the 200 yd. individual medley and the 100 yd. breaststroke.

BHS will graduate five dynamic seniors, who won state all four years in the program. Greta Olsen, Kate Steward, Allison Biddinger, Emily Giovannetti, and Delaney Shipman will all graduate this May.

Seward and Olsen will swim at the University of Kansas. Giovannetti has signed with Drexel. And Shipman will swim in college at Drury University.

The Bruin boys swim team took third at state, behind Norman North and Jenks.
