Wind Keeps Crews Busy
Although the majority of the rain stayed to our north and east, Bartlesville still felt some effects from the thunderstorms that moved through the area last night. With winds gusting over twenty miles per hour, local emergency responders were called out to clean a number of streets that had limbs in them. Although there are no reported power outages at this time, Bartlesville Fire responded to a report of a downed line that turned out to be a power line sparking when tree limbs near it made contact with the wire in the air. As a reminder, if you see a downed line treat it as a live wire and stay away from it, call the power company and 911 and wait for first responders to arrive before approaching any downed wire.
