Suspects Charged In Weekend Assault

Five Bartlesville people are facing charges from last weekend's assault case.  28-year old Cynthia Bristow, 31-year old Dustin Lee Towers, and 29-year old William Kyle Evitt are charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.  Two other people who were also involved were 37-year old Crystal Lee Johnston and 36-year old William James Smith are charged with drug violations.  Bartlesville police were called to a home in the 800 block of Wyandotte to investigate a domestic issue.  According to a court affidavit, a woman was pushed by two men who stole her money and cigarettes and was hit by Bristow with a baseball bat.  Another woman told officers that she saw Bristow hit her car with a baseball bat shattering her windshield.  Reportedly, drugs were found in a bedroom where Smith and Johnston were discovered.  All five suspects next court date is September 5th.  Bond for Bristow was set at $150,000 while Towers and Evitt's bond is $100,000 each.  Meanwhile, bond was set at $50,000 each for Johnston and Smith.
