Ramona Man Arrested On Drug Charges
A Ramona man is in custody on a warrant for allegedly having illegal drugs inside his home. 52-year old Wesley Dennis Coldren is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of firearms after a former felony conviction. On April 29th of this year, Washington County Sheriff deputies served a search warrant at a Ramona home on W 3400 Road. According to a court affidavit, the authorities found inside the home two loaded rifles, a loaded shotgun, bags of meth, and pieces of mail with the suspect's name on them. Outside the home were a number of junk vehicles. The affidavit states that the deputies found inside the vehicle meth and marijuana. The authorities found ephedrine in another vehicle. No one was home at the time officers arrived. Court records indicate that Coldren is a convicted felon and served time in prison in Kansas. He also has a felony pending out of Kay County. Coldren's next court date is August 15th. Bond was set at one million dollars.
