Scarlett Arrested for Burglary and Firearms

A Bartlesville man is in jail on a 50 thousand dollar bond for breaking into an apartment and stealing some guns. Joel Aaron Scarlett was arraigned Thursday in Washington County District Court facing charges of burglary, driving on a suspended license, possessing stolen property and possessing a firearm after a previous felony. According to a court affidavit, Scarlett broke into an apartment on 9th street and stole two rifles, a shotgun, gun accessories, and ammunition. Scarlett has been found guilty in San Bernadino, California previously for burglary and buying and receiving stolen property. Scarlett's next court date is August 15 when he will appear before Judge Vaclaw on a felony status docket.
