After spending four hours of deliberations, a Washington County jury found Frederick Asa Tracewell not guilty of assault and battery on a police officer and not guilty of failure to yield for an emergency vehicle.  However, Tracewell was found guilty of an improper turn and recommended a fine of $5.00, guilty of driving with a suspended licence, and guilty of resisting an officer.  The jury recommended that Tracewell serve 16 months in jail.  The incident took place in September of 2013 when officers noticed a vehicle make an improper turn to the OnCue Store at Adams and Cherokee.  According to a court affidavit, Tracewell got into his vehicle, left the store, and ignored the warning sirens.  Reportedly, a struggle took place and both Tracewell and an officer were treated for injuries at Jane Phillips Medical Center.  The trial lasted four days.  Sentencing is set for August 13th.  Tracewell is not bondable pending sentencing.
