Pack the Backpacks is in full swing in the Bartlesville area. The program supplies school necessities to students in Bartlesville, Dewey, Caney Valley, Osage Hills, Copan and Bowring. Right now the program is accepting applications to receive the full packs at CONCERN, the Agape Mission, and at Mary Martha Outreach. On a recent KWON Community Connection program, Sherri Smith, a board member of the Washington County School Supply Drive, explained that you have until the 28th to apply.

If you would like to donate items to the backpacks, you may drop them off at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, CONCERN, the Agape Mission or the Mary Martha Outreach. Smith also says volunteers will be needed to help stuff the backpacks.

Last year, the Washington County School Supply Drive's “Pack the Backpacks effort assisted more than 2500 area students.
