Sapulpa Vists Bruin Field House

Bartlesville High basketball is back at it on Friday, as the Lady Bruins and Bruins will have their second straight home game this week.

Sapulpa visits Bruin Field House for a double-header.

Both the BHS clubs are coming off losses on Tuesday against Bixby. The Bartlesville boys have gotten a little more consistent scoring the basketball. After scoring 40-points or less in eight straight games, the Bruins have now scored more than 40 in three straight.

Unfortunately it has not led to wins, as Bartlesville is still looking to snap an 11-game losing skid. Bartlesville head boy’s coach Clent Stewart says consistency is going to be a key down the stretch if BHS wants to string together some more wins.

Stewart says with Bartlesville shooting it below average for the most part this year, it makes valuing the basketball and possessions even more important.

Sapulpa will again test both BHS clubs. The Lady Chieftains are a top-10 club in 6A and stand at 13-3. The Sapulpa guys are 7-9, but they have won three games in a row.

Tip off at 6:30 for the girls, boys to follow at 8:00 on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
