Pawhuska Finally Plays Friday

After two weeks of anticipation, the Pawhuska Huskies are finally set to kick off the 2020 Class A Playoffs on Friday evening with a home contest against Warner.

Pawhuska will have to win four games in a row to win a gold ball. It has been 21 days between contests for the Huskies, after last week’s playoff game was forfeited by Hominy.

Pawhuska head coach Matt Hennesy says Warner will be the biggest team his club will have played all year and it will be important to make the most of every play.

Hennesy adds that it will be tough for Warner to match Pawhuska’s athleticism, but says the Huskies will have to play well from the start.

Hennesy says it is important for Pawhuska to hit those big plays early so that they are the ones controlling the tempo.

Hennesy goes on to talk about Warner’s personnel.

Pawhuska set an Oklahoma state scoring record during the regular season. The 695 points put up by the Huskies were the most scored by any team in any classification in the regular season.

This is a game you can listen to exclusive coverage of Pawhuska in the playoffs on KPGM FM 99.1 and watch the game on KPGMTV.com.
