Patriot Athlete of the Week: Cade Winter
It is another Monday, which means it’s another Patriot Family of Autos Area Athlete of the week – powered by Tri County Tech. For the first time this year, we have a spring sport athlete.
This week we feature Bartlesville High tennis player Cade Winter.
Winter has been a constant in the varsity lineup for head coach Bryan Reece. He is a doubles player again this spring.
Winter talks about his background playing tennis and other sports growing up.
Winter also runs cross country at the varsity level. He has been a competitive runner for the past seven years, as well. Sebastian White is Winter’s doubles partner. Cade says the two had a relationship since elementary school.
Winter talks about why he enjoys having White as his right-hand man on the tennis court.
Winter is impressive off the tennis court, as well. He is going to attend Yale this fall when he graduates from BHS in May.
Winter talks about the process of getting into Yale.
Winter says he plans on majoring in classical studies and philosophy. He also mentioned how many AP classes he took to help gain entrance into the Ivy League School.
Winter has a brother who currently goes to Dartmouth and a sister that went to OU and is working in Oklahoma City.
