OKWU Takes First Game Against Tabor

Two top 10 baseball teams in the NAIA were in Hillsboro, Kansas Thursday afternoon as #2 Oklahoma Wesleyan University topped #9 Tabor College 10-6 in a KCAC showdown.  Tabor scored three runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 4-2 lead.  OKWU came back, scored a run in the top of the fourth to trail 4-3.  The Eagles scored three runs in the top of the sixth and three more runs in the top of the seventh to take game one of a three game series.  Will Price went 4 for 5 at the plate with two homeruns and three RBI's.  Landon Williams, in relief of starter Zach Johnson, got the win on the mound to improve to 3-0 on the year.  In two innings of work, Williams gave up two hits and struck out one.

The Eagles improve to 21-3 overall and 3-1 in KCAC play.  The Bluejays drop to 17-5 overall and 3-1 in KCAC play.  Both teams will play a double header on Friday starting at Noon.
