It was another split night for Oklahoma Wesleyan as the men’s team continues to roll while the women’s squad can’t get out of its slump.

The men used a tremendous second half to break away from the Coyotes and win 80-66. At one point OKWU used a 17-3 run to pull away early in the second half. The Eagles only had a three-point lead at the break, but five second half three-pointers helped the run. Lense Ramey knocked down three from long range.

Lance Tipton led the team with 16 points, Jansen Lietzke had 11 points. Freshman Kaleb Stokes had 11 points as well and he had the Eagles biggest highlight of the night in the first half.

The Eagles have won four in a row to move their record to 14-4 overall and 9-3 in Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Meanwhile the Lady Eagles faltered against Kansas Wesleyan losing, 85-62. Danae Goodwin led the Lady Eagles with 16 points—her eighth straight conference game in double figures. The OKWU Women are now 10-6 overall and 6-6 in KCAC play.

Both teams will return to action on Wednesday with home doubleheader against Ottawa.
