Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball returns to the hardwood on Thursday with a Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader against Bethany College. The men’s team dropped in the latest update to the NAIA coaches’ poll to No. 2 in the nation. The Eagles’ 22-1 record is the best in the NAIA.

OKWU has won five straight games, each by more than 10 points. Every game remains a priority with the Eagles still holding just a one game lead over eighth-ranked Southwestern in the KCAC standings. OKWU defeated the Swedes 89-68 in the first matchup of the season.

The Lady Eagles will look to get back on track after struggling in Monday’s loss to Bethel. OKWU is 1-1 since Grace Hadley took over head coaching duties. The Lady Eagles are currently sixth place in the KCAC at 10-8. Bethany is the team directly behind them with an 8-8 record.

The Swedes won a nailbiter in the first matchup, 61-58. The doubleheader will tipoff at 6 p.m. from the Mueller Sports Center in Bartlesville. Radio coverage can be heard on 99.1 FM—KPGM.
