Oklahoma Nationals Take Second in State Tournament

It was the Oklahoma National verses the entire State of Oklahoma as the 12-year-old baseball club finished second in a State Tournament this week.

Head Coach Ryan Davis led the group of kids from Bartlesville, Dewey, Osage Hills, Pawhuska, Caney Valley and Caney, Kansas.

In the State Tournament, The Oklahoma Nationals took out the Oklahoma Mudcats 11-5 in their opener. The Mudcats had won 19-2 in their last game before playing the Nationals.

In the next round, the Oklahoma Nationals beat the Redhawks 5-3. They would go on to beat the Grove Lighting 12-3 later that day. That set them up for their championship match-up with 918 Baseball.

Two games were played to crown the champion for the State Tournament. 918 Baseball would beat the Oklahoma Nationals on a combined score of 16-4.

The Oklahoma Nationals finished their season on Wednesday. The team had several second place finishes in tournaments in the area this past season.
