Lady Bruins Fall to Union - Area This Weekend

The Bartlesville girls lost their first game of the postseason on Saturday, as BHS fell to Union 47-44 in the Lady Redskin Regional Final.

The Lady Bruins will now have to win two straight games this weekend to advance to state. Bartlesville led throughout the majority matchup against Union, before a strong fourth quarter put the Lady Redskins ahead in the final minutes. Despite trailing down the stretch, BHS would never go away. Back-to-back threes from Chloe Martin and Jena’ Williams put Bartlesville within one in the final two minutes.

The Bartlesville defense would struggle to stop the Union post players in the final minutes. Union scored 15 points in the fourth quarter, after having just 15 points the entire first half.

Bartlesville will now face Shawnee in the Area Consolation bracket on Thursday at 8:00 PM at Jenks High School. We will air that game on KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3.

Booker T. topped Shawnee 54-52 for the Lady Wolves first loss of the season on Saturday

Updated 6A East Bracket
