Lady Bruins Eye Clash With Union

Both Bartlesville High basketball teams get back to a more regular schedule this week, as the Lady Bruins and Bruins will play Union on Tuesda at home for a Frontier Valley Conference double-header.

The Union contest means an awful lot for the Bartlesville girls, who are on the edge of hosting a regional for the eastern half of the state.

The Lady Bruins have won 10 games in a row heading into the ranked matchup tomorrow. The BHS girls also have games against Owasso on Friday, and then Booker T. Washington at the BOK Center on Saturday. Head coach Donnie Martin talks about what this week means to his club.

Union is 12-4, the Lady Redskins are currently ranked at No. 7 in the state in Class 6A. The Bartlesville girls are ranked at No. 9.

The winner of Tuesday's game will likely have an inside track to host a regional. Union might be the best team the Lady Bruins have played since December, when BHS took on Bixby.

Ladies tip off at 6:30 with the boys to follow at 8:00 on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
