The Doenges Ford Indian’s took two from Shawnee Mission North on Friday night, and are back to their winning ways.

Bartlesville won two run-rule five inning games, 15-2 and 11-3. Joe Jones and Braden Beasley picked up wins on the mound, both throwing well.

Jones improved to 5-0 in his first start after the Glen Winget title game. Beasley had thrown only one inning entering Friday night. After allowing two runs in the first he settled down to only allow one more over the next four frames.

Shawnee Mission struggled to throw strikes. Bartlesville (21-11) had 12 hits in game one and only six hits in game two.

The biggest hit of the evening came off the bat of Chase Fiddler, who pounded his third home run of the season to give the Indian’s more cushion in game one.

There has been another schedule change for Bartlesville. The Indian’s were going to play at noon on Saturday against Shawnee Mission North, then play a double-header at 6:00 against Baxter Springs. The United Linen Braves will now take on Shawnee Mission at noon instead.

So, KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3 will have coverage of the Indian’s on Saturday night between Bartlesville and Baxter Springs at 6:00 for a double-header.
