Indians in Sunflower State This Week

The Doenges Ford Indians wrapped up a 1-3 weekend in Enid with a couple of tough losses on Saturday afternoon and evening.

Bartlesville was in both contests, but fell to the Shockers Black 8-7, and the OK Drillers 3-0.

The Indians were unable to make the finals of the event on Sunday.

Despite the three losses there were still plenty of positives for the Tribe. Bartlesville continues to get good production in the order from its college contingent of Calvin Johnson, Andrew Harden, Harald Borg and Dakota Ward.

Meanwhile, Nik Johnson, Hayden Fiddler and recent additions Ryan and Randsom Jones all pitched well during the second trip to David Allen Memorial Ballpark.

The younger Johnson was particularly impressive, allowing only three runs in eight innings pitched over two appearances.

Bartlesville stands at 7-11, as the Indians hope to get back on track this week as they tune up for the Glen Winget. Bartlesville will play games in Kansas starting with Montgomery County on Thursday.

The Indians will then have an overnight trip for a tournament in Pittsburg this weekend.

We will have all those games on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
