The Doenges Ford Indians fell again on Thursday night in a single game against the Ada A’s to kick off a three-game series.

Bartlesville struggled defensively, as Ada took an early lead and never faltered - the A’s topped the Indian’s 13-3 in a five-inning run-ruled contest.

Bartlesville committed six errors, with five of them coming on pop flies. Those errors all directly or indirectly led to Ada runs, and the A’a quickly built an 11-2 lead after 3 1/2 innings. Bartlesville tried to mount a comeback in the fourth after back-to-back extra base hits at the top of the order from Cole Ellis and Shawn Sutton.

Sutton would be the last Indian to reach base, however, as the next five Bartlesville batters were sent down in order in the run-rule. The Indian’s drop to 1-21-1 on the season, and are looking for their first win since June 6 in the Branson Tournament.

Bartlesville plays its final two games before the Winget on Friday afternoon against those same Ada A’s.

First pitch for the double-header at 3:00 PM for game one, game two is slated to begin at 5:00 PM.

We will have the first game on Sports Talk 1500 AM and 99.1 FM – KPGM. Game two will air on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
