Gundy, Riley talk with Media
Both Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley and Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy met with the media on Monday, as the Big 12 is getting set for its first conference weekend of football games on Saturday.
Riley was asked about how COVID-19 has thrown off the usual preparation for games. Riley also had to field several questions about rumors that K-State, the Sooners opponent on Saturday morning, might have trouble meeting the minimum threshold for playing due to contact tracing and positive tests. No official word on specific numbers out of Manhattan.
Gundy spoke about his starting quarterback Spencer Sanders and his injury on Saturday. Gundy said it was mild, and Sanders will be in a walking boot until practice tomorrow. He said how Sanders responds this week will determine if he plays on Saturday.
OU vs. K-State kicks at 11:00 on Saturday morning from Norman, we will have the Sooners on 100.1 – KYFM.
Oklahoma State and West Virginia kick at 2:30 on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
