GAC Wraps Up in Bartlesville
The Great American Conference Tournament wrapped up on Sunday at Bruin Fieldhouse with a couple of solid games in the championship round.
The women’s title was decided by one point, as Arkansas Tech topped Harding 63-62. Neither team scored in the final 1:53 of the game. On the men’s side, Sothern Nazarene would hold on for a five-point win over Arkansas Monticello, 62-57.
This is the second year of a three-year extension that the GAC signed with Bartlesville to host the tournament in early 2016. The tourney will be back at Bruin Fieldhouse next year, with the conference making another decision on where the tournament will be held going forward in the coming months.
It takes a lot of different people to put on an event like the GAC Tournament, from volunteers to ticket buyers and sponsors. Here is chairmen of the Bartlesville Sports Commission, Bob Pomeroy.
