Eagles Return to Action Saturday

The Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball teams will return to action on Saturday after sizable break for the Holidays. The Eagle men’s team currently sits at 11-4 overall and 6-3 in conference. The Eagles are just behind a cluster of teams competing for the top of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. OKWU head coach Donnie Bostwick says he is happy the team is in the hunt.

The Eagles will have a challenging slate in January with five of eight contests being played on the road including Saturday’s game at Tabor. Oklahoma Wesleyan is currently 4-3 away from home so far on the season.

OKWU will run into a Tabor team that is winless in KCAC play so far. Bostwick says the Blue Jays have more talent than their record indicates.

The Lady Eagles will come into 2020 at 10-4 and 6-3 in conference. The women’s side will look to avenge two losses to last year’s KCAC champions. Radio coverage starts at 5 p.m. You can listen on Sportstalk 99.1 FM KPGM.
