Dewey Faces Pawhuska Again on Hardcourt

Another big area battle this evening pits Dewey against Pawhuska in basketball.

On the guy’s side, the Bulldoggers are starting to play better, but will likely still have their hands full against the Huskies. Dewey beat Adair 60-53 on Tuesday for its third win of the year. The Doggers are just 3-8 overall, but they have won three of their last five.

Dewey trailed by double-digits early in that game on Tuesday, before the Doggers came roaring back. Head coach Lance Knight hopes the comeback has started a turnaround for his team’s season.

On the Pawhuska side, the Huskies have to be feeling good about themselves as well. Pawhuska has won five games in a row. That includes an overtime win against Barnsdall, and a two-point win over Dewey the last time these two teams played on Jan. 4.

Pawhuska head coach Jake Christenson talks about his team’s last win over Dewey, two weeks ago.

8:00 PM tip on the guy’s side between the Bulldoggers and Huskies.

We will carry that game on KRIG 104.9 on Friday evening along with 99.1 FM – KPGM.

Pregame should start about 7:50.
