Two class B basketball clubs in Washington County will square off on Tuesday night.

Copan hosts Wesleyan Christian School. The Hornets are coming off a 1-2 weekend in the Copan Tournament, while WCS lost in the championship round of the Copan event on Saturday.

The Copan boys are off to a 2-5 start. The Hornets have continued to play close games, with losses of 11-points or less coming to South Coffeyville, Foyil and Prue over the past two weeks. Copan has a mix of seniors and first-year varsity players.

Head coach Kevin Foreman is back to lead the Hornets again, and he says how they do this season will likely depend on how far the youngsters come.

Copan girls are also 2-5. Both Wesleyan Christian School clubs have only played four games. The Mustang guys are 3-1.

Foreman says that he thinks WCS will be one of the better Class B boy’s teams on this side of I-35.
