Copan Ready for Life After 1st Win

Believe it or not the high school football season is starting to wind down, and the Copan Hornets have just now started to get going.

Most local teams have only two games remaining on their regular season schedule.

In Copan, the Hornet’s picked up their first year of the season this past weekend. The Hornet’s improved to 1-7 with a 40-28 win over Medford.

The win was a load off the shoulders of head coach Jeff McGlathery and the entire Copan football program.

The Hornet’s district schedule was a bit front-loaded, so they will most likely have a chance to compete in their last couple of games as well.

Copan is at Welch on Friday, then hosts Deer-Creek Lamont for its final game in two weeks. You can hear more from McGlathery on our Coach's Corner page.
