Castillo Honored at BPS Meeting
As we reported on the news side, Bartlesville High junior guard David Castillo got a big-time honor at Monday night’s BPS Board meeting.
Castillo was officially honored as the all-time scoring leader in Bruin history. After only three years at BHS Castillo has tallied 1,594 points.
The number is made even more impressive after watching Castillo’s junior campaign. The five-star recruit garnered double-teams and special attention from opponents defensively the entire year. Castillo’s assist numbers jumped by more than .5 a game this winter vs. last year, while still averaging 23.3 points-per-game.
Castillo is a consensus 5-star recruit and is rated as one of the best guards in the class of 2024 nationwide. He has scholarship offers from nearly every power five school in the region.
