Bartlesville baseball snapped a mini losing skid and got another District win on Monday night. BHS beat Muskogee, 12-8 in a wild game one of the district series.

Bartlesville racked up 11 base hits and nine walks. The Bruins only struck out four times.

All that combined to give Bartlesville maybe its best offensive output of the season.

Head coach Cody Price told us earlier this season that the Bruins are at their best when they put pressure on opposing defenses by not striking out.

BHS ended up needing most of those runs, as Bartlesville committed five errors, which lead to six unearned Muskogee runs.

The Bruins improve to 11-19 and lock up seventh place in 6A-District 3. A 6:00 first pitch for game two on Tuesday against the Roughers at home from Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium at Rigdon Frield. Bartlesville will also celebrate its seniors at 5:30 before the game.

We will have the game on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1 with video coverage on KWONTV.com.
