Bartlesville High baseball got its first District win of the season on Monday night, as the Bruins took it to Tahlequah in their first game out of Spring Break.

BHS topped Tahlequah 12-0 in five innings of work.

Zeb Henry made the start on the mound and was terrific. Henry threw only 54 pitches over five innings with seven strikeouts and no walks. Henry surrendered only two hits.

Luke Fox, Eric Olenburger and Shawn Tate all tallied multiple hits in the win. The Bruins got the run-rule in large part thanks to a seven-run top of the third inning.

Bartlesville now improves to a season-best two games over .500 at 6-4. BHS is now 1-2 in District action and will go for the sweep over the Tigers this evening.

Bruins and Tahlequah game two, weather pending, from Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium downtown on Tuesday night.

A 6:00 first pitch on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1 along with a video livestream on KWONTV.com.
