Bruin Baseball Into Weekend of Non-District Play

Bartlesville High baseball is back after it on Thursday evening – weather pending.

Bruins are scheduled to be at Tulsa NOAH for a rematch against the club that BHS beat a week ago in its season opener.

Bartlesville split its two-game District set with Moore earlier this week. A 1-0 win over the Lions at home on Monday followed by a 2-1 loss on Tuesday south of Oklahoma City.

Head coach Cody Price says the pitching was fantastic earlier this week.

On the flip side, the Bruin bats are a bit slow to get going early this year. Bartlesville had 15 strikeouts in the loss to Moore on Tuesday. BHS has struck out 39 times in four games thus far and is hitting .253 as a team.

Price talks about Bartlesville’s offense seven days into the season.

A scheduled 5:00 first pitch from Bales Baseball Park in Tulsa on Thursday. Bartlesville will also be on the road at Sapulpa on Friday night in non-District play.
