Bartlesville High baseball is off to a 1-0 start after a run-rule victory over Tulsa Noah in the Bruin’s season opener on Friday night in downtown Bartlesville.

BHS beat Noah 11-0 in five innings of work.

Kaden Romesburg and Mason Dryden teamed up for five shutout innings on the mound, while Brenden Asher, Damien Niko and Brett Eaves did the damage with the bats.

Asher went 2-3 with a doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored. Damien Niko went 3-3, while Eaves added in two hits, as well.

Jackson Zaun tripled and Harrison Clark also tallied a knock.

BHS scored four runs apiece in the second and third innings to put the game away. Bartlesville out-hit Noah, 10-4.

The Bruins are right back after it against Oologah at noon on Saturday from Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium for game two of the season, and a final tune-up before District play begins early next week.

KWON and KWONTV.com will rejoin coverage of Bruin baseball after spring break.
