Bartlesville Public Schools honored former head boys’ basketball coach Clent Stewart at its meeting on Monday evening.

As we have reported over the past week, Stewart stepped aside from the job after 10 years leading the program.

Superintendent Chuck McCauley thanked Stewart for his time as head coach.

The search for Stewart’s replacement is already underway, and according to Bartlesville High Athletic and Activities Director Thad Dilbeck it is off to a good start. There have been many applications and a high level of interest in the position.

Dilbeck talked about the first few days of the search during his weekly Bruin Buzz program on Friday.

More on the search for a new Bartlesville boys’ basketball coach as news becomes available.
