BHS Swimming Working Through the Break
Winter Break is basically here and for Lady Bruin and Bruin swimming, it comes at a good time.
Head coach Chad Englehart is working with a younger group this season. He still has veterans on the girl’s side with four or five girls out of the 18 that were at the state meet this past season. June Harris, Erin Downey and Sydney Perry are being relied upon as the only veterans on the girl’s side – both Downey and Perry have been out with some health problems.
Outside of the main returners, Englehart talks about expectations of the rest of the group.
Bartlesville has had four dates officially, with the most recent one coming against Jenks and Union on Dec. 4. BHS did not win that meet, but Englehart was pleased with his team’s performance, and hopes it can be something to build on going forward.
No more dates on the Bartlesville swimming schedule until after the New Year. Englehart did say that there have been some Phillips 66 Splash Club events and the teams are still practicing.
