Bartlesville Tennis Qualifies 5 for State
Bartlesville High tennis qualified five of its guys for state on Monday, while the other will be an alternate, at the east 6A Regionals in Bixby.
At No. 1 singles Jack Auschwitz finished third and was a state qualifier. The No. 1 doubles team of Will Bolding and Owen May finished third and qualified. And the No. 2 doubles team of Bash White and Cade Winter also finished third and qualified. Mark Shaw at No. 2 singles finished fifth and will be a state alternate.
Last week before the tournament began head coach Bryan Reese said the No. 2 singles draw would be a tough one for a younger Bruin.
Just like on the girl’s side, 6A state takes place in a couple days, this weekend in the Oklahoma City metro area.
