Bartlesville High baseball begins its 2023-24 season in earnest on Friday afternoon.

Bartlesville will host Tulsa NOAH in a non-District start to its season at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.

The Bruins will have a couple key returners mixed in with a lot of fresh faces this spring. Bartlesville graduated seven seniors off a super successful 23-15 season a year ago.

Head coach Cody Price is now in his fifth season with the program. He talks about the preseason for the Bruins leading up to the season opener.

The two guys coming back provide BHS with a solid starting point. Oral Roberts signee Brenden Asher will headline the district pitching rotation, middle infield and the middle of the lineup. Brett Eaves provides some pop in the lineup and another solid glove, as well.

Price talks about his returners.

Damien Niko, Jackson Zaun, Mason Dryden and Grant Clark are some guys who have played at times that will have a more pronounced role this spring. Price also mentioned he is excited about a large junior class, who will be playing varsity baseball for the first time.

A 5:00 first pitch against Tulsa NOAH. BHS will host Oologah on Saturday at noon, as well. KWON and KWONTV.com will rejoin coverage of BHS baseball after spring break.
