Bartlesville a Good Host for Swim Meet
If you noticed a few extra people around Bartlesville this past weekend you weren’t alone.
The Phillips 66 Splash Club hosted its annual Stars of Summer Meet at Sooner Pool. Event organizer, and Splash Club Coach, Chad Englehart said it could not have gone any better. 420 kids from four states embarked on Bartlesville for the event. Englehart says that pairing with Sunfest at Sooner Park has helped the meet.
As for the Splash Club, it wasn’t a meet where score was kept but Englehart said his kids swam well.
The Stars of Summer Meet has been on the Oklahoma swimming events calendar for years.
Englehart guessed that it might go back as far as 30-years here in Bartlesville.
