Asher Named to All-Tourney Team
Told you over the weekend about former Bartlesville Bruin baseball star Brenden Asher and his stellar start on the mound to wind down his freshman season.
Asher threw a complete game in an elimination contest for Oral Roberts in the Summit League semifinals on Friday night. The performance was good enough to get on the All-Tournament team.
Asher went the full nine innings in a victory over Omaha, 8-1. He allowed only one run on three hits. He struck out six and walked one.
After the game Asher talked to the Summit League Network.
That start moved ORU to the title game, needing to beat North Dakota State twice. The Golden Eagles got the first win but fell in the second winner-take-all championship game.
ORU finishes the season at 37-22.
Asher will now get set to play for the Doenges Toyota Indians this summer.
