A Look Back: Dewey Bulldoggers Football
We take a look back in 2016 and one of the most successful stories is the Dewey Bulldoggers football team. After going back to back 2-8 seasons, the Doggers qualified in the Class 3A playoffs for the first time in three years, losing to Cushing in the first round. Tyler Caid was hired in the spring to turn around the program and he did after his first season with an experienced senior class, led by running back Hunter Brewer. He rushed for over 2,000 yards. A highlight of the Doggers season was a 36-30 win over rival Nowata Ironmen.
Caid said that he was blessed coaching the senior class.
Things are looking up towards the 2017 football season.
