Convicted Cattle Rustler Dies in Hospital

A Fairfax man convicted and sentenced to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to stealing seven head of cattle from the Bledsoe Ranch near Ralston, has died. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections reports that 27-year-old Garrett Gibson died at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City on Sunday, May 17th. Gibson was sentenced on May 6th and was in DOC custody but had not yet been processed into the Lexington Correctional Facility. He was taken to the hospital on May 13th, transferred to the OU Medical Center on May 14th and died on Sunday. No information has been released on an illness or cause of death.
