An Osage Nation Police officer involved in a deadly crash at about 10 o'clock on the evening of May 1st has been fired. Cory Stewart was reportedly off duty, but driving his police vehicle when he hit and killed Shawn Watashe on East Admiral Place in Tulsa.

The incident report indicates Stewart left, but came back five to 10 minutes later and told the investigating officers he was the driver that had hit Watashe.  The area was dark and the pedestrian had not breen in a crosswalk.
