Dewey Waste Water Treatment Plant on Schedule
Don Tyler Avenue's parking spaces were filled around Dewey City Hall on Monday evening as many people were in attendance for the Dilapidation Determinations on City Councils Agenda. After Council dealt with those issues and most of the people were gone, there were a few more items on the agenda. The Dewey Community Center was opened by Dale and Giz Robison in July of 2014. Giz Robison made a presentation to Council about a sign for the Center. No action was taken. During the Public Works Authority meeting, City Manager Kevin Trease gave an update on the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Trease said that the project is a large upgrade and that the facility will be much more efficient. He expects it to be up and running on May 1st.
