In a Press Release the Pawhuska Chamber announced they have selected an executive director to take over for Mike McCartney, who was selected to serve as Pawhuska City Manager last year. Joni Nash, originally from Monroe, Georgia, has been selected for the position of Executive Director. Nash is currently the Community Manager of Income Development for the American Cancer Society in the Oklahoma City area.

Nash, a former Miss Rodeo Georgia and Oklahoma State Alumni, served as a judge for the queen contest for the International Roundup Cavalcade in 2013 and 2014.

“I fell in love with Pawhuska,” said Nash. From the moment Mike McCartney delivered a Welcome to Pawhuska Basket, “I could see myself being a part of this community.”

“The Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce is so fortunate to have been able to attract and hire such an outstanding individual as its next Executive Director” said board president, Joey Lee. “We are excited about Joni becoming a member of our community and this new chapter in the growth and development of the Chamber. We hope our members will take the opportunity to come by the chamber and welcome Joni to Pawhuska when she arrives on March 23rd. Individuals that have purchased tickets for the Annual Chamber Gala that will be held at 6pm Friday March 27, will have the opportunity to meet and welcome Joni to Pawhuska as well."
