Jane Phillips Medical Center has named a new chief financial officer. James Brasel succeeds longtime CFO Mike Moore who began serving a president/chief operating officer in October.   It’s Brasel’s second tour of duty at the hospital. From 2001-2007, he served as the regional controller for JPMC.

Following his six years in Bartlesville, Brasel worked as the chief financial officer for five years at Craig General Hospital in Vinita. Since May 2013, Brasel has been the director of finance and controller at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Brasel earned both a bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

Originally from Barnsdall, Brasel and his wife, Liza, have been married for 20 years and are the proud parents of 17-year-old son, Caleb.
