'Killers of the Flower Moon' Shut Out at Oscars

Despite acclaim from film scholars and movie critics throughout awards season, it was a tough Sunday night for writer-director Martin Scorsese’s historical epic "Killers of the Flower Moon" at the 96th annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
The film — which chronicles the mysterious murders of several indigenous residents living on Oklahoma’s Osage Nation Reservation after oil is discovered on tribal land in the 1920s — suffered a complete shutout at the 2024 Oscars.
The movie was filmed mostly in Osage and Washington counties.
