Doenges Ford Indians split a double-header on Monday night against the OK-Sandlot in Oklahoma D-Bat League Play at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond.

Bartlesville took the first contest 1-0, then fell in game two 3-0. There were only 14 hits combined from both teams in both games.

In game one, Matthew Winters got the start on the mound and was nails for the Indians, pitching three scoreless and hitless innings, adding in three strikeouts as well.

Indians were only able to muster up three hits in game one, but that would be all that they would need to harness the win.

Kaleb Bashford was able to put the ball in play to score the only run of game number one for the Indians.

Hayden Catlin came on in relief of Matthew Winters, and both pitchers combined for 6 IP, zero hits and three strikeouts. Brendan Asher came on to close in the seventh and would give up the only hit of the game as the Sandlot would spoil the no-hit opportunity with two-outs in the seventh.

Game number two showed even less in terms of offense for the Indians, as they only conjured up four-hits and could not plate a runner. The best play of the entire day though goes to Cole Hancock, who turned a double-play in the bottom of the fifth of game number two, that included throwing a runner out at home..

Indians move to 10-8 on the summer and have another home league doubleheader on Wednesday before the Glen Winget Tournament begins on Thursday
