Mike Rowe, the former “Dirty Jobs” television host, is coming to the Green Country area to film a mini-series that will feature parts of the City of Dewey and Prairie Song. The mini-series is based on the new podcast by Rowe that is titled "The Way I Heard It" and it features true short stories of historical events around the natiion.

One segment will be shot at the Dewey Hotel at 801 North Delaware Street in downtown Dewey; another segment will be filmed at Prairie Song, located on 402621 West 1600 Road. The Dewey Hotel episode will concentrate on a story about Abraham Lincoln while the Prairie Song episode will be about Annie Oakley and Frank Butler. The episodes will be shown in the third season of Rowe's podcast at a later date. Rowe's first podcast aired in May of this year.

Rowe will partner with Tulsa-based Impact Productions to complete the filming.
